Abuse, alcoholism, suicide, hopelessness, a vicious cycle - this is the life of today's Native and First Nations young people all across the United States and Canada. Native youth are searching for something to break the cycle, and the On Eagles' Wings® outreach of Hutchcraft Ministries works to introduce them to Jesus Christ, the hope for reservations and reserves across North America. How can you help Native North American young people find Jesus this summer?

We saw some very painful scenes at Ground Zero in the rubble of the World Trade Center. One of the most agonizing scenes was when tempers flared between some of those firefighters and police who had been fighting together to save or find people in the rescue and recovery effort at Ground Zero.

Who is Clark T. Randt, Jr.? Appointed by President Bush in 2001, Mr. Randt is the longest serving U.S. ambassador to the People's Republic of China! Good trivia to know in case you're a contestant on Jeopardy!

So, what is an ambassador? An ambassador is someone who represents the highest authority there is, in a specific place. Mr. Randt represents President Bush for the United States, in the country of China. Impressive stuff! What's even more impressive is that YOU are an ambassador!

The idea of building a Headquarters as a base for our ministry's mission sounded exciting - and very overwhelming. An architect drew the blueprint for what we needed the Headquarters to be, and that was great. But there I stood with this very big and detailed drawing - having no idea of where to start with what was on that paper.

We've had the privilege to spend time on Indian reservations and make some wonderful Native American friends. Some have even honored us with Indian names. Our experiences mirror what has long happened among Native Americans; having experiences with a person and then celebrating it by giving them a name.

Our Hutchcraft Ministries team has the awesome privilege of hearing great stories of how this ministry has impacted lives around the world. Your prayers and financial support are helping to change lives. Please read and be encouraged by the difference our partnership is making.

It is almost time for Native young people from all across the United States and Canada to gather together for the 2008 Warrior Leadership Summit (WLS). Coming from reservations and reserves where some traditions lead to a darkness surrounding Native America, these young people will be coming to revel in the Light that comes from the Son.

It's a moment in recent American history that's indelibly etched in our memories: the explosion at the Federal Office Building in Oklahoma City in April of 1995. Many heroes were behind the scenes; like the convention of restaurant owners who changed their plans and dedicated themselves to supplying meals to the rescuers so the rescue work could continue uninterrupted.

On February 18th the U.S. celebrates President's Day. This is a time set apart to give specific honor to our nation's past leaders for their service to our country. It seems appropriate to honor those who serve or have served in a leadership capacity for their selfless sacrifice for the good of all. This is also an appropriate time to look at the leadership roles each of us have.
