At Christmas, we love to see a happy ending - reaching out to a grumpy neighbor; a smile on that hardened person’s face; the person without much receiving what they hoped for.
I’m Lisa Hutchcraft Whitmer, and those happy endings usually aren’t about doing something for myself. What brings the most joy is doing something for another person.
Love in action is powerful - giving cookies or a card, noticing someone and saying "Merry Christmas" - focusing on others.
That’s what Jesus did. He was the ultimate Love In Action - coming as a baby, dying for all of the junk in my life and yours, and blowing the doors off death!
