There's a funny scene in the Christmas movie "Jingle All the Way" where utter Christmas shopping mayhem is happening to the strings of the classic holiday song, "It's the most wonderful time of the year."
Well I'm Doug Hutchraft and hey, it can be a great time of the year. For some though, it can also be a time of unrelenting stress on the soul.
God's book says something that those of us struggling to find some peace this season. It says, "My soul finds rest in God alone." It goes on to say "my salvation comes from Him" (Psalm 62:1). Well salvation from what?
The Bible says that from birth we are all at war with God. That our sinful nature, or us running our life our way instead of His, is always hostile to God. But the good news is, He made a way for us to have peace with Him. His book says "we have peace with God through Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1).
