Christmas movies - ahhhh, yes, plots full of family, laughter, holiday traditions, zany adventures, and emotions from sadness to joy.
Then usually along the way the lead character learns insights about who they are, and what their life has become.
With all the humor of people trying to find that perfect gift, trying to deal with that difficult family member, or trying to avoid Christmas altogether - we begin to look inside ourselves as well. Because just maybe we're a little like that leading star - more than we'd like to be.
As we look inside ourselves, we see some things we don't like - a lot of stuff all about ME.
Following a "way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death" (Proverbs 14:12).
Yet, God sent His only Son - Jesus - so we could have LIFE!
