Like true pioneers, every Christmas my dad and I would venture into the wild to find our family Christmas tree - at Bucky's tree lot. I loved a real tree. Artificial? Not so much. Until those allergies in our family forced us to change. So now we have a real big - uh, tree. Looks like a real Christmas tree, but it's not.
Kinda like some people look like a Christian. They're not. Because when you have a lot of Christianity, it's easy to think you have Christ. A religion all about Jesus - but you've missed Jesus. Which means you miss heaven. Because it's only by pinning all your hopes on His death for your sins and His resurrection that you can go there.
That's why the Bible says, "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith" - to see if "Christ Jesus is in you" (II Corinthians 13:5). It's possible to know all about Jesus and not know Jesus.
