My wife had just come through a potentially life-threatening surgery. And it was Christmastime. With her facing days in intensive care, I wanted a little Christmas in her room. Something that would fit on her little table on wheels. And I found it! Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus in a tiny manger with just one word at the bottom - "Hope."
Well that word fits. Because when Jesus was born, hope was born. Hope as in "things that look impossible to change can change." A marriage can change...a family can change...a temper, an addiction, a hard heart, a hopeless situation - an eternity can change. The Bible promises that "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation" (2 Corinthians 5:17). Because Jesus died to pay for the sin that keeps us from God - and then rose again to prove that He can even reverse death!
And hope may be exactly what you need this Christmas. Actually, Jesus is what you need. If you want to belong to Him, let us help you. Go to our website - NeedHim.org.
Hope has a name. His name is Jesus.
