"Hark, the herald angels sing, glory to the newborn King." Nice Christmas song. But that "King" thing is where we have a problem with Jesus.

King Herod sure did. When the wise men told him they were looking for the newborn King, the Bible says, "King Herod...was disturbed" (Matthew 2:3). Oh, he pretended to like the idea, but he wasn't about to let anyone be king but him.

Just like us. Oh, we like the little Baby Jesus. We like a lot of things about Jesus. As long as He runs the universe, but I run me. Which is messed up. The Bible says, "All things were created by Him and for Him" (Colossians 1:16). But we've all lived pretty much for ourselves. And it took Jesus dying on the cross to pay for our sin.

Now, if you continue to say, "There'll be no king but me," you'll live without meaning and die without hope. But today could be the day you finally surrender the throne of your life to the true King - King Jesus. We can help you know how. Go to our website, NeedHim.org.

Haven't you driven long enough?
