The Crossroads at Mission Mountain
Our clear marching orders from the Lord: Matt. 28:18-19; 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NIV)
Crossroads #4: Go or No?
Are we willing to reprioritize the rest of your life around Jesus’ Orders?
Acts 1:8 - Witness is our identity, not an activity. It’s who you be – not something you sometimes do.
Living Life on Divine Assignment
Living each day, anticipating that your situation is your assignment!
Three responses to the divine summons
“Wherever” Abraham Genesis 12:1, 4a (CSB); Hebrews 11:8 (CSB)
“No.” Jonah Jonah 1:1-3a (CSB)
“I’ll go.” Paul Acts 20:22 (NIV)
A new boldness. No more holding back.
Model of embracing divine positioning - Paul.
Unexpected tragedy - Acts 28:7-10 (NIV)
Arrest - Eph. 3:1, 4:1 (NIV)
Sickness - Gal. 4:13 (NIV)
Two crossroads truths:
We are all inadequate for our divine assignments
Amos 7:14, 15 (NIV)
No matter what you do for a living, He has given you the divine assignment to deliver His message.
1 Peter 3:15 – the Hope we have found in Jesus!
We all have the superpower of our story
God wants to use your story!
Acts 26:9-11; 22-23 (NIV) – Paul had a new situation, but the same assignment – share about the Hope of Jesus.
Lessons from Paul found in Acts 26:
Your story should be real and transparent.
Your story should be personal, not ideological.
The world needs more Jesus kinds of Christians.
Your story should be centered around Jesus.
Your story should be brief and bold.
As long as we have breath in our lungs, we have a mission to accomplish.
Isaiah 61:1 (CSB)
