Every year about this time, there he is. On stage for the Christmas play. Linus - and his ever-present blanket! Man, what would happen if Linus was ever Linus minus his blanket - his security?
I know that feeling. Seven years ago my Karen, the love of my life, was gone in one cardiac moment. We all have, like Linus, something or someone who is our security blanket.
The problem is, they're all losable. Except one. He was born that first Christmas. Died to forgive our sins that Good Friday. Proved His life-giving power when He conquered death that first Easter. Jesus. The One who made - this promise: "I will never leave you; I will never forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). The one love, the one life anchor that will never desert you, never disappoint you, never die on you. As the Bible says, "Nothing... will be able to separate us from the love of God" (Romans 8:39).
