My visit to Jesus' birthplace in Bethlehem was really something special. The cave is under the Church of the Nativity where the door into the church is so low you can't go in standing up. You have to bend low to enter, which is actually pretty appropriate.
Notice, the middle letter of sin is "I" ... me running my own life. And our pride can literally cost us heaven. But Jesus came to a humble stable that first Christmas and gave himself to pay our sin penalty on a blood-stained cross. It isn't really the manger where you need to bow down; it's at that cross.
