Christmas is about a baby. So you never forget that first Christmas with your newborn baby there.
Christmas felt a little different after our first grandchild was born. On the day he arrived, I watched our son-in-law holding him and saying. "My son, my only son."
And I thought of those familiar words from the Bible "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son" (John 3:16). I know our son-in-law would never have given his son up for anything or anyone. And yet, God gave His.
Did God look down on that manger and say, "My Son. My only Son." Did He look down on that awful cross and say, "My Son, My only Son." The Bible tells us that "He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins" (1 John 4:10). Love beyond words for you and me.
And this Christmas, He's inviting you into the relationship He gave His Son for. Isn't it time you opened your heart to Him?
