The call came on Christmas Eve, just as we were ready to open gifts. A friend who worked in an urban school was desperate to find some toys and clothes to provide a Christmas to some recently burned out families. So we shopped in our closets. Minutes later, our eight-year-old son approached me with his nearly new favorite toy: his bright red Tonka fire engine. He wanted to give it to a boy who otherwise would have no Christmas. I asked him if he was sure he wanted to give it up and his answer blew me away. "But daddy, isn't this what Christmas is all about?"

Yes it is. The Bible says "God did not spare even His own son but gave Him up for us all" and "God so loved the world that He gave His only son" (Romans 8:32, John 3:16). We have sinned against God but he gave His son to die for our sin on a cross. So put your name in that verse, "God loved _______ so much that He gave His only son so if _______ would believe in Him then _______ will not perish but have eternal life."

Look, if you want what He died to give you, contact us at 888-NEED-HIM or ChatAboutJesus.com. No one loves you like He does.
