Last year we tried a new Christmas decoration at our house – one of those popular Star Showers. On the first night, as we turned off our inside lights we noticed Star Shower lights were shining right through our windows, cutting through the darkness, lighting up our world.
Two thousand years ago, there was another ‘star shower' that cut right through the darkness. It's the star the wise men followed. The star that let them know everything had changed, because Jesus had arrived.
It's fitting that light helped introduce Jesus. That's what He brought with Him. He knew about our despair, our pain, our sin, and He became the light because He lit of the darkness of millions of lives. And He can do that for you. The Bible says "In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind."
